The weather so far has been beautiful in Barcelona, and the sun seems to set hours later.  It has already been a wonderful experience.  The flat is located on a lovely street with many delightful restaurants below, and, just steps away, the metro stop!  Not to mention, it is right next to Sagrada Familia, the famous Gaudi church.  The view is absolutely amazing from our rooftop terrace! The only hardship I have encountered is getting used to the time difference. Though I have just started my internship today, I am already gaining valuable insight into the field and am thrilled to be with Contrapunto for the next two months. The people have been so friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed.  As exciting as it has been, it only hit me that I was actually here yesterday. My flatmates and I went down to the old part of Barcelona and went to a little Irish pub, where many were gathered to watch the soccer game.  The bar erupted in cheer when England scored her first goal.  Only in Europe! I'm looking forward to exploring the rest of Barcelona, and hopefully more of Spain as well.  This weekend we are traveling to Sevilla to meet up with the group from Madrid.  Though I had hoped to stay in Barcelona the first weekend to get settled, I am very excited to start traveling.  Many have told me that Sevilla is their favorite city in all of Spain!
