Some of the interns decided to take a trip outside of Paris. For 39 Euros round trip, Amsterdam was an automatic yes! Compared to other cities, the price to go to Amsterdam for two days was a bargain, so our wallets ultimately decided for us.

7 hours later, we were in the heart of Amsterdam: Dam Square. It was 6 am, and we were the only people walking the streets of Amsterdam. It was love at first sight.

The first thing I wanted to do was see the Anne Frank House. Her biography was the first book I can remember that I read back in elementary school. This one was definitely on my bucket list, and I'm so glad I saw it. Unexpectedly, it was Gay Pride weekend in Amsterdam, and we got to see some of it. The best part of it was that the parade was on floats in the canal ... so Dutch. I was fascinated by their architecture, lifestyle, and city. I am planning to go back and visit other parts of the Netherlands besides Amsterdam.
