So work is slowly coming to an end, which is crazy to think about. We have been visiting different branches all throughout the summer. We have learned a lot about each branch’s work and the types of clients they deal with. We have made presentation after presentation and it is all mounting towards our last week when we make a final one to our bosses. But until then, we get to meet a few more divisions, and over the last two weeks, we have met the Trading Division as well as the Corporate Banking Division. Both were really fun (expectedly) and interactive.

We helped develop a training game at the Trading Division for BTMU’s Taipei branch. One of its employees came from Taipei to participate in its making, and we learned all about the whole process of how everything works. It took us three days to successfully draw up ideas, test, and ultimately create the game. It was actually really fun and made it very easy to understand how the system works.

We met with Corporate Banking Group #3 the following week, and this was definitely one of my favorite divisions thus far. First off, it is really cool because CBD #3’s floor is absolutely beautiful. It is really nice and well set up because a lot of clients go there for meetings. Anyways, this was probably one of my more favorite divisions because we visited one of the division’s clients, but unfortunately, I am not allowed to reveal its name. However, we took the shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo Station to Shin-Yokohama, which ironically is where we attended orientation at the very beginning of summer. Because Shin-Yokohama is actually pretty close to Tokyo station, the ride was only 20 or 25 minutes. It was really cool to ride on the bullet train though, especially since I have only had the opportunity to hop on board a few times in my life. Anyways we got to the factory and also did a tour. It was really cool to see the products being manufactured and see the type of stuff these people are doing on a weekly basis. Because we were visiting a factory, we all had to wear helmets and glasses, which made me feel legit!
