This last week at work, we visited the IndigO2 at the O2 in London so we could get an idea of how to arrange the meet and greet and get a feel for the PopShack Live concert venue. The IndigO2 is a very modern and cool place surrounded by the O2’s many restaurants and electric atmosphere.
I also got to hang out with and interview Loveable Rogues who made it really far in Britain’s Got Talent. The boys were absolutely hilarious as they revealed their secret talents and came up with what their superhero name and power would be – one would be “The Cockney Pirate” whose power is giving people strong migraines.
Other than that, my workweek has consisted of blogging and taking charge of the PopShack App Launch social media plan and our PopShack Live Countdown. It is never a dull day at PopShack!
Outside of work, I have done quite a bit of site seeing! I hung out with Paddington Bear at Paddington Station. I got lost in the National Gallery looking at paintings by Van Gogh and Monet. I visited the romantic location of Tom Fletcher of McFly and his wife, Giovanna’s, wedding. I walked across Tower Bridge and saw London Bridge structurally sound. I found the house in “The Parent Trap” and accidentally wandered through Burlington Arcade, another “Parent Trap” site.
And last but not least, I wandered through the Tower of London. Seeing the spot where Anne Boleyn, Catherine Howard, and Lady Jane Grey had been executed was unbelievable! The knight armor of King Henry VIII and King Charles II were carefully displayed and unlike anything I had ever seen! After setting our eyes on the Crown Jewels, my friends and I went to take a picture with a guard standing completely still. After snapping the picture, my friend told the guard that we would tag him on Facebook, which caused the guard to smile and purse his lips together so he wouldn’t laugh out loud. We felt like we did what we came to do.
I can’t wait for this next week, which should be really exciting! So stay tuned!
Thanks and gig’em!
